What is a business visa for Indonesia, and who needs it?

A business visa (B‑211 / B‑212, or multiple entry business visa) is a visa for foreigners entering Indonesia for non-work, commercial activities like meetings, market research, investment scouting or business negotiations. If your nationality doesn’t grant visa‑on‑arrival, or your stay exceeds the allowable period, then you’ll need a business visa.

How long does it take to process a business visa and what are the requirements?

Processing time varies (typically 5–10 working days, depending on consulate or immigration). Key requirements include: a valid passport, sponsor letter from an Indonesian entity, business plan or activity description, proof of return ticket, and relevant documents. Your service provider (like us) can help you prepare and submit correctly to minimize delays.

Can I extend or renew a business visa in Indonesia?

Yes — most business visas are extendable. Extensions or renewals can be handled locally through immigration offices. However, you must apply prior to expiry and satisfy local extension requirements (like additional sponsor documents). We can guide or handle your extension process end to end.

What is the minCan I convert a business visa into a work permit / KITAS?

Generally, a business visa is not convertible into a work permit (KITAS). To work (i.e. be employed) you usually need a separate work permit + limited stay permit (KITAS) sponsored by a company. If you’re planning to shift from business visitor to working resident, we can advise the right visa path and handle the switching process.

Can you provide pricing detaWhat is the cost of a business visa and how can a visa service provider help me?

Visa fees depend on your nationality, type (single vs multiple entry), and processing service level. While you could apply independently, a visa service provider helps you avoid errors, prepare documents correctly, liaise with immigration, and reduce rejection risks. We offer transparent pricing (request a quote) and full-service processing to give you peace of mind.
